Measures
The core of LEVANTE is a set of measures that are applied uniformly across sites. These pages provide documentation and interactive demos for the different types of measures used in LEVANTE.
More information about the selection, validation, and internationalization of LEVANTE measures is available on the Development and Validation page.
Status
- All measures are currently in active piloting (iterative refinement and data collection) and none should be considered final.
- The currently available measures for LEVANTE have been piloted with children ages 5;0 - 12;0 (years;months). Downward extension to younger ages is in progress but will not be available until early 2026.
- All measures and surveys are currently available in English, Spanish and German. More information about internationalization (including the process of adapting measures to other languages and cultures) can be found on the Internationalization page. French and Dutch measures are planned for release in 2026.
Individual Measures
Technical requirements
The LEVANTE direct assessment measures can be administered on any tablet or computer with a web browser and internet connection. In the case of uncertainty, task demos on the Direct Child Measures page can be used for testing device compatibility.
- We explicitly support the last two major releases of the web browsers Chrome, Safari, and Edge.
- We have tested with both Android and Apple tablets.
- We do not recommend administration on smartphones due to their small screen size. Although measures are viewable on many phones, we do not support phones at this time and behavior may be unpredictable.
- At present, these measures require an active internet connection. Some sites have had success using StarLink for administration in regions with limited connectivity.
