Add Users

All participants (children, caregivers, teachers) must be registered in the dashboard in order to access their assignments. They do not need to be registered at the same time, but they do need to be registered before they can be linked or receive assignments.
  1. Click “Download CSV Template” button to begin registration process
  2. Open the CSV and complete the fields listed below for registration (fields marked with an asterisk are required to add users; optional fields can be left blank or completed at the Link Users step)
  3. Upload completed spreadsheet in CSV format
  4. Click “Start Registration” button
  5. When complete, a message will appear (green box) and a new spreadsheet will automatically download that includes 3 additional fields: uid, email, password - save file
    1. uid: unique LEVANTE user ID assigned to user by LEVANTE
    2. email: unique email address assigned to user for logging into dashboard
    3. password: unique password tied to email for logging into dashboard
  6. If the new spreadsheet does not automatically download, click “Download Users”
  7. If you are ready to link related users (child to caregiver and/or teacher), click “Continue to Link Users” button (or select “Link Users” from navigation bar dropdown)

CSV Field Details - Add Users

  • id - A site-specific unique identifier for the user in CSV file
  • userType* - The type of dashboard user: child, caregiver, teacher
  • month*† - The month a child user was born (number birth month; e.g., 5 for May)
  • year*† - The year a child user was born (four-digit year; e.g., 2017)
  • caregiverId - The site-specific unique identifier (id) for the child’s caregiver
  • teacherId - The site-specific unique identifier (id) for the child’s teacher
  • site* - Identifier assigned to research site. Must be included for all users

AND (*required to choose one of the following)

  • cohort - Grouping classification for non-school based data collection

OR

  • school - Identifier to use with school-based data collection
    • class - Sub-group classification used with school-based data collection (must create a school first)
  • Any other fields that are site specific to facilitate tracking, etc. These fields will not be uploaded into the system and are for site reference only. (ex: name, contact information)
